UAE Team Emirates is a professional road cycling team registered in the United Arab Emirates, formed in its current guise in 2017 through the backing of an Abu Dhabi sports investment company, and one of the leading teams in modern professional road cycling, built in particular around Slovenian rider Tadej Pogacar, who joined the team in 2019 and went on to win multiple Tour de France titles and other major one-day and stage race victories while riding for the squad. Racing in a red-and-white kit, the team represents part of a broader wave of Gulf-region investment in professional cycling during the 2010s and 2020s, alongside teams and races backed by Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
