The LA Galaxy is a professional football club based in Carson, California, United States, founded in 1995 as one of the ten charter clubs of Major League Soccer, and the most decorated club in MLS history, having won a record number of MLS Cup championships. Playing in white, navy and gold at Dignity Health Sports Park, the club built a period of sustained success in the 2000s and 2010s around marquee international signings including David Beckham, whose 2007 arrival under MLS's Designated Player Rule ("Beckham Rule") significantly raised the league's global profile, alongside longtime American internationals Landon Donovan and Cobi Jones.
