The Galway county football team represents Galway in men's Gaelic football and is governed by Galway GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. It competes in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Connacht Senior Football Championship and the National Football League, and plays home games at Pearse Stadium in Salthill. Galway was the first Connacht county to win the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship and has nine titles, the third highest total after Kerry and Dublin. It won three consecutive championships in the mid-1960s and, from 1998 onwards, two titles in four years, the latest in 2001, while its most recent National League title came in 1981.
