Crusaders (Super Rugby)

The Crusaders are a professional rugby union team based in Christchurch, New Zealand, representing the Canterbury, Tasman and West Coast unions in Super Rugby, the premier provincial competition of the Southern Hemisphere, and the most successful club in the competition's history by a wide margin, having won a majority of Super Rugby titles contested since the tournament's founding in 1996. Playing in red-and-black, the team takes its name and imagery from medieval Crusader knights, and its sustained dominance, including a run of consecutive titles in the late 2010s and early 2020s, has made it one of the most consistently successful professional teams in any sport.
