Clube de Regatas do Flamengo is a professional sports club based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, whose football department, founded in 1911, is one of the most widely supported clubs in Brazil and the wider world, claiming one of the largest fan bases of any football club globally. Playing in red-and-black striped shirts, the club has won multiple Brazilian national championships and Copa Libertadores titles, most memorably completing a Libertadores and Brazilian league double in 2019 under coach Jorge Jesus, and counts Zico, one of Brazilian football's most revered playmakers, among the greatest players in its history.
