Lacrosse Canada, known until recently as the Canadian Lacrosse Association and founded in 1867, is the governing body of lacrosse in Canada. It conducts the national junior and senior championship tournaments for men and women in both field and box lacrosse, including the Mann Cup for senior A box lacrosse and the Minto Cup for junior A. Provincial bodies such as the Ontario Lacrosse Association and the British Columbia Lacrosse Association sit beneath it, as does the First Nations Lacrosse Association. Five national teams carry its colors in World Lacrosse championships, which come on a four year cycle.
