The America's Cup Partnership (ACP) is a centralising body proposed in a protocol released in August 2025 to oversee the organisation, delivery and commercial leveraging (broadcasting, sponsorship, merchandising and event infrastructure) of the America's Cup as a permanent steward, superseding the defender-and-challenger arrangement that had run the event since 1857. Its standing is legally unsettled: the Cup's Deed of Gift vests trusteeship in the Defender club, with fiduciary duties to uphold the Deed, and does not itself authorise a permanent external authority, so commentators have flagged a risk that a future Defender or Challenger could simply decline to recognise the ACP.
