UEFA Women's Champions League

Continental Championships

The UEFA Women's Champions League is a European women's association football competition for the top club teams of countries affiliated with UEFA. It was first played in 2001-02 as the UEFA Women's Cup and was renamed the Champions League for the 2009-10 edition. The 2009 changes added runners-up from the eight highest ranked nations and replaced the two-legged final with a one-off match, played until 2018 in the same city as the men's final. The 2021-22 season introduced a group stage for the first time, and a league phase has been used from 2025-26. OL Lyonnes is the most successful club with eight titles, including five in a row from 2016 to 2020, and Barcelona hold the title after beating them in the 2026 final.
