NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship

National League Championship Series

The NCAA Division I women's lacrosse tournament is the annual single elimination tournament run by the National Collegiate Athletic Association to decide the national champion of women's college lacrosse in the United States. It has been held every year since 1982 except 2020. Lacrosse was one of twelve women's sports added to the NCAA championship program for the 1981 to 1982 school year, in the period when the NCAA and the AIAW competed to govern women's college sport, and the AIAW held its last lacrosse title in 1982. The Maryland Terrapins have won the most titles of any program, and separate Division II and Division III championships also exist.
