The 1968 Winter Olympics were held in Grenoble, France, and were the first Winter Games to include sex testing for female athletes and doping controls. French skier Jean-Claude Killy won all three men's Alpine skiing gold medals, matching a feat achieved only once before, by Austria's Toni Sailer in 1956. The Grenoble Games were also the first Winter Olympics broadcast live via satellite to a global television audience.
