Mir Zia Mahmood is a Pakistani-American professional bridge player born in 1946 in Karachi, holding the World Bridge Federation and American Contract Bridge League rank of Grand Life Master. He won the Bermuda Bowl world championship in 2009, was runner up in 1981 and 2007, won the World Mixed Teams in 2004, and won the Gold Cup in 2010 after being runner up in 1982. He was inducted into the ACBL Hall of Fame in 2007 and was named ACBL Player of the Year in 1991, 1996, 2000, 2005 and 2012.
