Ze'ev Friedman

Gymnastics and Strength Sports

Ze'ev Friedman, whose name in Hebrew is זאב פרידמן, was an Israeli flyweight weightlifter, born on 10 June 1944 and died on 6 September 1972. He was a member of the Israeli Olympic team and was killed in the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre. His name is therefore remembered both as an athlete who represented Israel in weightlifting and as one of the victims of that attack, which remains one of the most somber events in the history of the Olympic movement. The source lead does not give his competition results, so those details are left for later depth work.
