Won Seong-jin is a South Korean professional Go player born on July 15, 1985. He turned professional in 1998 and reached 9 dan, and his only world championship came in 2011 when he won the 16th Samsung Cup, defeating defending champion Gu Li in a final played without a rest day between games. He also won the Chunwon title in 2007, the BC Card Cup in 2007, the Myungin title in 2009, the GS Caltex Cup in 2010, the SK Gas Cup in 1999 and the continental China-Korea Tengen title in 2008.
