Warren Weir, born on 31 October 1989, is a retired Jamaican sprinter who specialized in the 200 metres. He won the bronze medal in that event at the 2012 London Olympics, where Jamaica swept all three medals in the 200 metres. At the 2013 World Championships in Moscow he took the silver medal, finishing behind his training partner Usain Bolt, who set a world leading time in the final, and Weir equalled his own personal best there. That personal best is 19.79 seconds, first set at the National Stadium in Jamaica. Weir trained with the Racers Track Club under coach Glen Mills, in the same group as Bolt and Yohan Blake. His two major medals therefore both came in the 200 metres, the event he specialized in.
