Tracy McGrady, nicknamed T-Mac, is an American former professional basketball player born on May 24, 1979, best known for his career in the National Basketball Association. A seven-time All-Star, seven-time All-NBA selection, two-time scoring champion and the 2001 Most Improved Player, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in the Class of 2017 and is regarded as one of the greatest scorers and shooting guards in league history. He entered the NBA straight from high school as the ninth pick of the 1997 draft by the Toronto Raptors, where he formed a duo with his cousin Vince Carter, then starred for the Orlando Magic from 2000 and the Houston Rockets from 2004 alongside Yao Ming. He retired in 2013 after stints with the Qingdao DoubleStar Eagles and the San Antonio Spurs, became an ESPN analyst, and in 2014 pitched professionally for the Sugar Land Skeeters.
