Frederick Anthony Owen Gaze, known as Tony Gaze (3 February 1920 to 29 July 2013), was an Australian fighter pilot and racing driver. He flew with the Royal Air Force in the Second World War and is credited as a flying ace with twelve and a half confirmed victories, made up of eleven solo and three shared. After the war he had a successful racing career in the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia. He was the first Australian ever to take part in a Formula One Grand Prix. His life joins wartime aviation and postwar motorsport in one biography.
