Track and Field Disciplines

Timothy Philip Don, born on 14 January 1978 in Isleworth, London, is a British triathlete and the son of the former Premier League referee Philip Don. He represented Hounslow in the London Youth Games before competing at the first Olympic triathlon at the 2000 Summer Olympics, where he took tenth place, and he was eighteenth at the 2004 Summer Olympics. On 3 September 2006 in Lausanne he became World Champion, finishing 17 seconds ahead of Hamish Carter, but a few weeks later he received a three-month ban for missing three out-of-competition drug tests. He did not finish the 2008 Olympic race in Beijing. In 2017 he set a new Ironman world best time of 7:40:23 in Florianopolis, Brazil, and he later recovered from a broken neck after being hit by a car in Hawaii.
