Thor Hushovd is a Norwegian former professional road cyclist born January 18, 1978, widely regarded as the greatest Norwegian cyclist of all time. He won the 2010 UCI Road World Championship road race, becoming the first Norwegian to wear the rainbow jersey, and won the Tour de France points classification green jersey twice, in 2005 and 2009, while also becoming the first Norwegian to lead the Tour's general classification. Over his career he won ten individual Grand Tour stages, the most of any Scandinavian cyclist, along with the 2006 Gent-Wevelgem classic, before retiring in 2014 after a long battle with infectious mononucleosis and later becoming general manager of the Uno-X Mobility team.
