Theo Walcott is an English former professional footballer who played as a winger and a striker, born on 16 March 1989. A product of the Southampton Academy, he began his career at Southampton before joining Arsenal for 5 million pounds in 2006. His pace and crossing led manager Arsene Wenger to use him on the wing for most of his career, and from the 2012-13 season, when he was Arsenal's top scorer, he played as a striker, going on to score more than 100 goals for the club. He represented England at the 2006 World Cup and Euro 2012 and won 47 caps, scoring eight goals; on 30 May 2006 he became England's youngest-ever senior player at 17 years and 75 days, and in 2008 he became the youngest player to score a hat-trick for England. He now works as a club ambassador for Arsenal and a contributor for Sky Sports.
