Tamera Young

Tamera Young is an American professional basketball forward who played in the Women's National Basketball Association from 2008 to 2019. Born on October 30, 1986, in Wilmington, North Carolina, she attended Emsley A. Laney High School there and then played college basketball at James Madison University. The Atlanta Dream selected her in the first round of the 2008 WNBA draft, eighth overall. Over twelve seasons she appeared in 372 regular-season games for three franchises, the Atlanta Dream, the Chicago Sky and the Las Vegas Aces, and Chicago was the club she spent the most time with, nine seasons and 250 games. A 6-foot-2 right-handed forward, she averaged 7.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists a game across her regular-season career, and she also played 24 playoff games.
