T. J. Reid, formally Thomas Joseph Reid, is an Irish hurler, born in November 1987, who plays club hurling for Ballyhale Shamrocks and at inter-county level with the Kilkenny senior hurling team, usually lining out as a centre-forward. He broke onto the Ballyhale senior team as a sixteen year old goalkeeper in 2004 and has played on six All-Ireland Club Championship winning teams, including as captain in 2015. With Kilkenny he won All-Ireland Under-21 titles in 2006 and 2008, joined the senior team in 2007 and has been part of seven All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship winning teams, alongside many Leinster Championship and National League titles. He is the highest scoring player in the history of the All-Ireland championship.
