Sushil Kumar is a retired Indian freestyle wrestler born May 26, 1983, and a two-time Olympic medalist. He won bronze at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, India's first wrestling medal since 1952, and silver at the 2012 London Olympics, becoming the first Indian to win two individual Olympic medals since the country's independence. He is the only Indian ever to win a gold medal at the World Wrestling Championships, taking the title in 2010, and he also won Commonwealth Games gold medals in 2010, 2014 and 2018.
