Stephen Hendry is a Scottish retired professional snooker player and a current commentator and pundit. He turned professional in 1985 at age sixteen and won his first World Snooker Championship in 1990 at twenty one, becoming the sport's youngest ever world champion, a record he still holds. He won seven world titles between 1990 and 1999, a modern era record that stood alone until Ronnie O'Sullivan equalled it in 2022, and his eighteen Triple Crown titles and thirty six ranking titles both rank second in snooker history behind O'Sullivan's totals.
