Slaven Zambata was a Croatian footballer, born in Sinj on 24 September 1940 and died in Zagreb on 29 October 2020, who spent most of his club career with Dinamo Zagreb. He played for the club from 1959 to 1969 and again in the 1972 to 1973 season, making 171 appearances in the Yugoslav First League. Dinamo never won the Yugoslav championship during his time there and finished runners-up five times, but Zambata won four Yugoslav Cups with the club, in 1960, 1963, 1965 and 1969, and helped it win the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1966 to 1967. Before Dinamo he played as a youth with Junak Sinj, and later he had spells with KSV Waregem in Belgium and WSG Radenthein, where he ended his career in 1973. He played for the Yugoslav national team from 1962 to 1968, scoring 21 goals in 31 matches, and competed for Yugoslavia in the men's football tournament at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, where the team placed sixth.
