Shibano Toramaru is a Japanese professional Go player born on November 9, 1999, in Kanagawa Prefecture, holding 9 dan rank with the Nihon Ki-in. In October 2019, at nineteen years old, he won the Meijin title by defeating Cho U four games to one, becoming the first teenage player to win one of Japan's seven major titles, and he became the youngest player ever to secure a seat in the Honinbo league in 2017. He has also won the Oza and Judan championships among Japan's major domestic titles.
