Shawn Kemp is an American former professional basketball player, born on 26 November 1969, who played in the National Basketball Association for the Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers and Orlando Magic. Nicknamed Reign Man, he was a six-time NBA All-Star and a three-time member of the All-NBA Second Team, and he took the SuperSonics to the 1996 NBA Finals. He is widely regarded as one of the best slam dunkers of all time and formed a well known pick and roll partnership with his Hall of Fame teammate Gary Payton. Kemp also played for the United States national team at the 1994 FIBA World Championship, where the team won gold and he was named to the All-Tournament team.
