Shaquille Rashaun O'Neal, born in 1972 and commonly known as Shaq, is an American former professional basketball player who played center for six teams over a nineteen year career in the National Basketball Association. Standing seven feet one inch tall, he was a four time NBA champion, three time NBA Finals MVP, and the NBA Most Valuable Player in 2000, and he is widely regarded as one of the most dominant centers in the sport's history. He now works as a sports analyst on the television program Inside the NBA.
