Shane Woewodin is a retired Australian rules football player who played 200 games with the Melbourne and Collingwood Football Clubs. Born on 12 July 1976 to Ukrainian parents, he played most of his junior football at the Lynwood Ferndale Junior Football Club, made his senior debut for East Fremantle in the West Australian Football League in 1995 and was picked up by Melbourne in the 1997 pre-season draft. He played more than 100 consecutive games from his debut. The highlight of his career was the 2000 Brownlow Medal, which he won ahead of the favourite, Scott West of the Western Bulldogs, in a season when Melbourne lost the Grand Final to Essendon. After a disappointing 2002 Melbourne sought to trade him to Collingwood.
