Shakib Al Hasan is a Bangladeshi cricketer born March 24, 1987, in Magura District, regarded as one of the greatest all-rounders in the sport's history for his aggressive left-handed batting and slow left-arm orthodox bowling. He has scored more than 4,000 Test runs and taken more than 200 Test wickets, and more than 6,000 One Day International runs with more than 270 ODI wickets, becoming the fastest player in history to reach the double of 5,000 ODI runs and 250 ODI wickets, and he holds the record as the all-time leading wicket-taker at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. He captained Bangladesh to its first-ever Test victory over England in 2016, was named Player of the Tournament at the 2012 Asia Cup, broke Sachin Tendulkar's group-stage run record at the 2019 Cricket World Cup with 606 runs, and won the Indian Premier League twice with Kolkata Knight Riders, in 2012 and 2014.
