Sebastian Giovinco

Sebastian Giovinco is an Italian former professional footballer, born on 26 January 1987, who played as a forward. A quick and creative player on the ball, he was a versatile attacker, mainly operating behind a lone striker as a trequartista. He began his professional career with Juventus in Serie B in 2006 and spent loan spells with Empoli and Parma. He signed for Toronto FC in 2015 in a deal that made him the highest paid player in Major League Soccer, won three Canadian Championships and the 2017 domestic treble including the club's first MLS Cup and Supporters' Shield, and left in 2019 as its all-time top goalscorer. His individual honours there included the MLS Golden Boot and the MLS MVP Award. He then won the AFC Champions League with Al Hilal, and returned to Italy with Sampdoria in 2022. For Italy he won 23 caps from 2011, playing at UEFA Euro 2012 and the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup.
