Scott Hamilton

Scott Scovell Hamilton is an American former figure skater born August 28, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio, who won the gold medal in men's singles at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. He also won four consecutive World Championship titles from 1981 to 1984 and four consecutive United States national titles over the same span. Known for his fast footwork and for performing a backflip in exhibition routines despite the move being banned in amateur competition, he later became a prominent television commentator on the sport.
