Sándor Péter Kocsis, born on 21 September 1929 and died on 22 July 1979, was a Hungarian footballer who played as a striker for Ferencvárosi TC, Budapest Honvéd, Young Fellows Zürich, FC Barcelona and the Hungary national team. During the 1950s he belonged to the Mighty Magyars alongside Ferenc Puskás, Zoltán Czibor, József Bozsik and Nándor Hidegkuti, and after the 1956 Hungarian Revolution he moved to Spain and joined the Barcelona side of the late 1950s. He was a prolific goalscorer and was known for scoring with his head. He was the top scorer in any European league in 1952 and 1954, scored 75 goals in 68 appearances for Hungary, and finished as top scorer at the 1954 World Cup with 11 goals, a record at the time for a single tournament. He also became the first player to score two hat-tricks in a World Cup.
