Sally Kipyego

Sally Kipyego is a long-distance runner born on 19 December 1985 in Kapsowar in the Elgeyo-Marakwet region of Kenya, and she is listed by Olympedia with both Kenya and the United States as national committees. She represented Kenya at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where she finished fourth in the 5,000 metres and won the silver medal in the 10,000 metres. Her second Olympic appearance came at the 2020 Games, held in 2021, when she ran the marathon for the United States and finished seventeenth. At the 2011 World Championships in Daegu she also won a silver medal in the 10,000 metres. She was affiliated with the Oregon Track Club in Eugene, Oregon, and Olympedia lists her at 157 centimetres tall.
