Hockey Codes

Ryan Cousins (born April 1, 1981, in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian former professional lacrosse player who played eleven seasons in the National Lacrosse League. He was chosen for the NLL All-Star Game in 2004 and 2005 and won the league Defensive Player of the Year Award in both 2007 and 2008. In July 2011 he was traded to the Edmonton Rush and three months later to the Rochester Knighthawks. A knee injury before the 2012 season had him considering retirement, but the Knighthawks persuaded him to return, and the team won the 2012 NLL Championship. After another injury before the 2013 season he announced his retirement in February 2013, and in the offseason he played for the Victoria Shamrocks of the Western Lacrosse Association.
