Richie McCaw is a New Zealand former rugby union player, a flanker regarded as one of the greatest to play the position, who captained the national team, the All Blacks, to Rugby World Cup titles in 2011 and 2015. He won more international caps as captain than any player in the sport's history at the time of his retirement, and is credited with helping sustain the All Blacks' era of dominance through the early 2010s.
