Reto Pirmin Ziegler, born on 16 January 1986, is a Swiss former professional footballer who played as a left-back. His club career took him through the top divisions of seven different countries, an unusually wide spread for a defender, and he earned 35 international caps for the Switzerland national team. At international level he played at both the 2010 and the 2014 FIFA World Cups. He has since retired from playing, and he is recorded here as a Swiss association football player whose career is marked by that international reach.
