Rafael Aghayev is an Azerbaijani karateka widely regarded as one of the most successful competitors in the sport's history. He won six World Karate Championship titles in the kumite discipline along with numerous European titles across a career spanning more than a decade. His dominance in competitive karate came before the sport's 2020 Olympic debut, in which he also competed.
