Sir Pelham Francis Warner, who lived from 2 October 1873 to 30 January 1963, was an English Test cricketer and cricket administrator. He was affectionately known as Plum Warner and as the Grand Old Man of English cricket, titles that reflect a long association with the game both on the field and in its governance. He was knighted for services to sport in the 1937 Coronation Honours. The entry rests on the lead of the source, which establishes his two roles, Test player and administrator, his nicknames and the knighthood, and it deliberately does not add scores or office-holding details that the lead does not state.
