Pau Gasol

Pau Gasol Saez is a Spanish former professional basketball player born July 6, 1980, who played eighteen seasons in the NBA, primarily as a power forward. He won the NBA Rookie of the Year award in 2002, the first non-American player to do so, earned six NBA All-Star selections and four All-NBA team honors, and won two NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009 and 2010. With the Spanish national team he won a FIBA World Cup title, three EuroBasket championships and two Olympic silver medals, was named MVP of the 2006 World Cup and the 2009 and 2015 EuroBasket tournaments, and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023, widely regarded as one of the greatest European players and power forwards in NBA history.
