Francisco Campos Salamanca, known as Paco Campos, was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward. Born in Las Palmas in the Canary Islands on 8 March 1916, he began his career in 1934 with Marino F.C. and, after the Spanish Civil War, joined Atlético Aviación, now Atlético Madrid, making his debut on 7 January 1940 in a Madrid derby. He won La Liga with the club in 1939-40 and 1940-41, scored 12 goals in Madrid derbies, the most by an Atlético player, and finished with 127 La Liga goals, 120 of them for Atlético, which makes him the highest scoring player from the Canary Islands in the competition. He later played for Sporting de Gijón, serving as player-manager in the second half of 1949-50, scored 5 goals in 6 internationals for Spain, and as a manager worked with UD Las Palmas and CD Tenerife. He died on 8 September 1995.
