Ottmar Kurt Herrmann Walter was a German footballer who played as a forward, born on 6 March 1924 and died on 16 June 2013. He played alongside his brother Fritz Walter at 1. FC Kaiserslautern and for the West Germany national team at the 1954 FIFA World Cup, where he scored four goals as West Germany won its first World Cup title. He earned 20 caps and scored 10 goals for Germany, and scored 336 goals in 321 league and cup matches for Kaiserslautern. Drafted into the Kriegsmarine in World War II, he suffered heavy right knee injuries and was forced to end his career in 1958.
