Oscar (footballer, born 1991)

Football Codes

Oscar is a Brazilian footballer, full name Oscar dos Santos Emboaba Júnior, born on 9 September 1991 in Americana in the state of São Paulo. He is recorded at Olympedia as an Olympic medallist: he was part of the Brazil men's football team at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where Brazil finished second and took the silver medal. At the time of that tournament he was affiliated with the club Internacional of Porto Alegre, and he stands about 179 centimetres tall. Olympedia also notes his earlier youth international record, nine appearances and 539 minutes without a goal at the South American Under-20 Championship in Peru, a competition that formed part of the qualification campaign leading to the 2012 Games. Because several footballers share the single name Oscar, the birth year is part of his title.
