Olivier Giroud, born on 30 September 1986, is a French professional footballer who plays as a striker and, at the time of the source, for the Ligue 1 club Lille. He began his senior club career with his hometown club Grenoble, signed for Tours in 2008 and was named Ligue 2 Player of the Year in 2010 after finishing as that league's top goalscorer. He then moved to Montpellier, with whom he won the club's first Ligue 1 title and finished as the league's top goalscorer in 2012, before joining Arsenal, where he won three FA Cups and scored over 100 goals. He later played for Chelsea, AC Milan and Los Angeles FC before returning to France. He made his senior debut for the France national team in 2011 and earned 137 caps, becoming his country's second highest goalscorer, and he was part of the France side that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
