Olaf Tufte is a Norwegian rower born April 27, 1976, in Tonsberg, Norway, a seven-time Olympian who competed from 1996 to 2021 for Horten Roklubb, specializing in single sculls after taking up the sport at 17 to improve his motocross skills. He won two Olympic gold medals in the men's single sculls, at the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Games, plus an Olympic silver in double sculls in 2000 and bronze in double sculls in 2016, and two World Championship titles in single sculls, in 2001 and 2003; he was named Norwegian Sportsperson of the Year in 2001 and received the Thomas Keller Medal in 2021.
