Olaf Ludwig, born on 13 April 1960 in Gera, is a former German racing cyclist whose career began with SG Dynamo Gera. As an East German he raced as an amateur until German reunification allowed him to turn professional with the Panasonic team. A sprinter, he won the points classification in the 1990 Tour de France, won the Olympic road race in Seoul in 1988, took a record 38 stage victories in the Peace Race, won the 1992 Amstel Gold Race and the 1992 UCI Road World Cup, and won the Champs-Elysees stage of the 1992 Tour de France. After joining Team Telekom in 1993 he retired in 1996 and worked for the team as public relations officer and later team manager until 2006.
