Mitchell Watt

Mitchell Watt, known in competition as Mitch Watt, is an Australian long jumper born on 25 March 1988 in Bendigo, Victoria, who trained out of the QEII Track Club in Brisbane. He won the silver medal in the men's long jump at the 2012 Summer Olympics, the highlight of a run of major championship medals that also included bronze at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, silver at the 2011 World Championships in Daegu and bronze at the 2010 World Indoor Championships in Doha. He stood 184 centimetres tall and weighed about 83 kilograms. The Olympic record entry for him lists a single Games appearance, which makes his silver in London his only Olympic start.
