Milan Chalupa

Milan Chalupa, born 4 July 1953, is a Czech former professional ice hockey defenceman. He began his career with HC Dukla Jihlava and was drafted 49th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1984 NHL entry draft. He played 14 games for Detroit in the 1984-85 National Hockey League season, recording five assists, before moving to Germany in 1985 to play for EHC Freiburg. Internationally he played for the Czechoslovak national team at several World Championships and at three Winter Olympics, and he won silver medals with Czechoslovakia at the 1976 and 1984 Winter Olympics.
