Mick Kennedy, formally Michael Kennedy, is an Irish Catholic priest and former hurler, born in 1950 in Birr, County Offaly, who played as a full-back for the Offaly senior team. He was one of eleven children of a CIÉ bus inspector who was distantly related to the Kennedy family of American politics. He is identified here as the Birr priest and Offaly full-back born in 1950 to tell him apart from other people of the same name, including the Limerick hurler Mick Kennedy.
