Hockey Codes

Mark Phelan is an Irish hurler, born in 1982, who played as a right corner-back for the Kilkenny senior team. He joined the team during the 2004 Walsh Cup and was a regular member of the team for two seasons, during which he failed to win any honours at senior level. In the intermediate grade he has won two All-Ireland and three Leinster winners' medals. At club level he is a one-time county club championship medallist with Glenmore, and he is identified here as the Kilkenny hurler to tell him apart from other people of the same name.
