Maniche is the name used by Nuno Ricardo de Oliveira Ribeiro, a Portuguese former professional footballer born on 11 November 1977 who played as a central midfielder. He played top-flight football in Portugal, Russia, England, Spain, Italy and Germany. In 2004 he helped Porto win the Champions League, one of eight trophies he won with that club, and he amassed 177 Primeira Liga matches and 31 goals across seven seasons. Maniche won 52 caps for Portugal and represented his country at Euro 2004, where Portugal finished as runners-up, and at the 2006 World Cup.
